Sunday circumnavigate Island of Noto

After about seven miles into our ride I “had a mechanical” – the gears kept slipping. Ross attempted roadside repair but alas could not fix my bike. In the meantime, he called Giocomo to bring the bike van and swap out my bike with a spare. Well… remember my post from the other day about the guide who was not riding, driving the bike van ahead, parking it and riding back to us so they could ride with us? When Ross contacted Giocomo, he had already parked the bike van and was well on his way riding his bike to meet up with us to ride with us. So he had to ride back to the van and then drive it to where Ross and I were waiting. So it took awhile… Judy and Tony had ridden ahead.

“New” bike and I was on my way!

Mechanical aside, the ride was beautiful and fulfilling.

I think it’s really cool how they load the bikes in the van. The bikes are placed crosswise in the van in alternating direction and separated by large “sheets” of light plastic.

Tonight’s dinner we were on our own so I went to the conveyor belt sushi bar that was recommended by the concierge. You place your orders on the tablet in front of you and the tea is self-serve. The sushi was DELICIOUS! 🍣😋

This and more sushi for $22!

  1. That’s a lot of sushi! Fill up on it as much as you can since there is no good sushi in NH.
